From Tip Top Restaurant, we walked along Ahmad Yani street toward Merdeka Walk. The rain has stopped. It was 6:30pm but the sky was too darked. Most of the shops along the Ahmad Yani street had closed except two cafes which we passed on our way to Merdeka Walk were still open. Why we went to Merdeka Walk? We have been advised by one colleage if we did not have enough time to enjoy Medan culinary, we may go to Merdeka Walk. Some of famous restaurants opened outlet in Merdeka Walk. You may name them: Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Hoka Hoka Bento, Killineys just to mention few names. Merdeka Walk area was first set up in 2005 consisting of an area of approximately 6,000 sqm.
After browsing the area, we decide to choose Tenda Nelayan Sari Laut, the crowdest place among others. The eye catch of this restaurant is dimsum. The dimsums were placed nicely so attracting customers to try.
We order three types of dimsums i.e. chicken leg, hakkau and siomay, each approximately IDR 27,000, a bit expensive for street food. But when we taste, we thought that the price is worth. The dimsum is quite big and tasty.
