As far as we concerned, we considered that this restaurant is one the best ordinary Balinese foods in Jakarta at affordable price. Located at Jl. Wolter Monginsidi, South Jakarta, this restaurant may be easily recognised by the yellow signboard.
Before this visit, we have been at this place for several times so we now what to eat. First is half Bebek Betutu. This was for sharing of two. Indeed, this restaurant is called Ayam Betutu but we preferred Bebek Betutu. More tasty. Ayam or Bebek Betutu is a kind of Balinese dish which rich of spices and herbs. The set of Bebek Betutu came with a small cup of soup, fried beans, sambal matah and plecing kangkung and of course one plate boiled rice.
The second main dish is Nasi Campur Bali.
So here our complete lunch menu that day.
On that day, we have just bought Leica C at one of the camera shops in Jakarta. So our pictures in this page all were taken with Leica C. This is really great equipment which we think is very suitable for food photography.

Smarapura: Authentic Balinese Foods at Reasonable Price
For those who miss Bali and its foods in Jakarta, now you can enjoy authentic Balinese foods at Smarapura Resto. We decided to visit this resto after heavy traffic on the way to Central Jakarta via toll road [18/11/2013].
You can feel Bali ambience as soon as you step in the main gate. A small Balinese gate welcomes the guests. The ornaments at the doors' gate reflect truly Balinese craft.
The restaurant offers various dishes menu from all over Bali island such as Denpasar, Ubud, Tabanan, Jimbaran etc. The waiter greets us warmly and ask where we would like to sit.
Vegetable Lawar
This is it our lunch menu.

There are two parts of sitting area one at bale bengong and the other at lobby area. We choose to sit close to swiming pool below trees.
Our table is located at the edge of swimming pool.
For drink, we order a Baas Tea (Teh Baas).
This drink is actually not really "tea". This drink is a speciality of Tabanan area specifically Jatiluwih. The drink is made from red rice (beras merah) boiled with sugar.
For main course we order two sets of dishes i.e. Nasi Campur Bali and Nasi Bebek Garing Bali (Crispy Bali Duck Rice), beans, tum nangka and plecing kangkung. Nasi Campur which literally means mixed rice containing of white
Shreded spicy chicken:
Fried peanuts.
Beef satay.
and the hot and spicy Sambal Matah
The second main course is Nasi Bebek Bali Garing (Crispy Balinese Duck Rice) which consists of fried half young duck. The fried duck is not oily and is very crispy.
We also order Plecing Kangkung and Tum Nangka.
Tum Nangka. Tum Nangka is made of jack fruits.
As for dessert, we choose Pisang Semut.
Shreded young coconut
